A financial expert just broke down the D112 petrol price: international cost D70-75, taxes & levies D25-27. He shows combining NRA levy removal + VAT cut could drop it to D97. Domestic tools exist. So why is government only burning D500M in subsidies? December 2026 must answer.

On the eve of May, government raised fuel prices: petrol now D112/L, diesel D120. They’ve put over D500M in subsidies for April/May alone but admit it’s unsustainable. The pain at the pump is now the pain at every meal. December 2026 must answer. #GambiaDecides2026

@DeScyllah Brother, that's the right sequence. Stabilise fuel and transport so the cost floor stops shifting, then lift wages so people can actually stand on it. Structure first, dignity right after. That's a December demand worth holding.

@muhammed_hydara He fixes the structure first then everything follows bcux if fuel and transportation goes stable and people are under paid then life still gets tough

@DeScyllah You've just named the tripod: fair wages, transparent fuel pricing, and stable transport. If the next president locks in those three, the kitchen table starts to feel the difference before any grand project. Which one is non-negotiable for you in December?

🇬🇲🇬🇲: Fans Raise Over D230,000 to Gift Gambian Star Isha Milky Her Dream Car for Birthday In a heartwarming display of fan love and community support, popular young Gambian artist, singer, and social media influencer Isha Milky saw her casual birthday wish for a car transform into reality as supporters from home and abroad rallied to raise more than D230,000 (Gambian Dalasis). Known for her catchy music tracks, vibrant TikTok content, and massive following reportedly surpassing 1.6 million on the platform the rising star from Soma playfully expressed her desire for a vehicle during her birthday celebrations. What began as a lighthearted moment quickly snowballed into a global crowdfunding effort, with fans donating via platforms like Wave, PayPal, local bank transfers, and GTBank. In just four TikTok live streams, contributions hit the D200,000 mark on Wave alone, with the total exceeding D230,000 as donations continued to pour in even after platform limits were reached. Fans, both in The Gambia and in the diaspora, contributed what they could big or small turning the occasion into a powerful symbol of unity and appreciation for the young creator’s impact. Isha Milky, visibly moved, shared her heartfelt reaction in a public statement: “I’m honestly overwhelmed… and deeply grateful Gambia. What started as a simple birthday wish ‘I want a car’ has turned into something I will never forget for the rest of my life. This is not just money… this is love, unity, and pure support. Some of you gave big, some gave small but every single contribution means everything to me. I came with a dream… and you all are turning it into reality. May God bless each and every one of you, multiply your kindness, and answer your own prayers the same way you’re answering mine.” The outpouring of support highlights Isha Milky’s growing influence as a content creator and artist who connects deeply with her audience. Fans have praised her melodic style, including recent Quranic recitations during Ramadan, and her ability to blend entertainment with cultural and spiritual elements. Congratulations poured in across platforms, with well-wishers calling it a well-deserved gift for the talented young star. Isha Milky’s journey continues to captivate fans, proving that sometimes, a simple wish shared with the world can drive extraordinary results. (@TheAlkambaTimes)

@DeScyllah Brother, the numbers are suffocating for sure. But feeling dead is what happens when we absorb each price rise without demanding a real plan. December 2026 is our chance to breathe again. What's the one thing you want to hear from candidates beyond subsidies?
