It’s funny how when govt spends a few billion on Eskom per year, there is such a fuss made about “bailouts” but when private power producers need the grid expanded, in order to profit from generating power, suddenly there is no issue with govt spending R450 billion at the public’s expense.
Newzroom Afrika@Newzroom405

Electricity and Energy Deputy Minister, Samantha Graham-Maré says the government needs R450-billion to build 14,000 kilometers of transmission lines. She says they're generating more electricity but battling transmission issues to get the power where it's needed. Watch: tinyurl.com/bdh9vffn

He only protects the dignity of foreigners. He said: 1. The South African Policemen have smelly shoes. 2. South African men and women are bed-wetters. 3. South African youth is unskilled and uneducated while we are top two in literacy, education and and number 1 in higher education in Africa. 4. He said Nigerians are making better movies than us while we are the only ones that have won Oscar's and being the number one destination of filming and editing international movies in the whole of Africa. 5. Called black lawyers incompetent and ran away to using white lawyers, but it took a Black lawyer to save him from going to jail after his white lawyers failed him. What dignity does he give to South Africans?

Julius Malema has been standing on business and has never changed his narrative when it comes to protecting the dignity of Black people! 🫰🏾

It's the fact that you people willingly lie to push a narrative to serve your white masters. 17% was funded by USAID, to which when they pulled out we still function very well. I fully understand why Black Americans have a disdain for African migrants when they move to their country. You people peddle white supremacist narratives about the locals and work against them.
Chipo Dendere@drDendere

Over 60% of South Africa's HIV/AIDS funding was coming from USAID at the tune of nearly $400 million. The point is simply that if African governments prioritize citizens, they can fund this on their own. $400 MIL is not a lot for a big economy like SA. :) We love all of Africa

.hot take: DStv might actually be better for kids than streaming. Structured channels with curated, age-appropriate content beat the chaos of Netflix and YouTube, where everything is scattered and algorithm-driven. Too much choice isn’t always a good thing for developing minds

I love everything about this tweet, it highlights SAn xenophobia, by a dictator who ruined his country to a point where his countrymen are being exploited by the same white men he’s talking about. Tweeted by a Kenyan, whose country is facilitating Sudanese genocide.

South Africans will kick down a statue of a dead white man but won't even slap a live one. Yet they can stone to death a black man simply because he is a foreigner ~ Robert Mugabe

I can understand a South African criticising the policies of South Africa but surely our Zimbabwean brothers have much bigger problems to deal with than to criticise BEE. Is it a case of learn from our mistakes?

For A Marxism Without Guarantees
Here is an example: Activists say Tafelberg land in CPT's CBD should be used for low-cost housing. DA councilors in the city who don't use ideology in local gov say, "No, let's sell it to private investors." There you go ; ideology doesnt matter in local government politics.
Clifford Sihlezana@CliffUnderPar

Guys use your heads and not your hearts in local government elections. Sure ideology definitely plays a role at national level💯 but if you’re voting for a councillor in your local ward, the candidates thought on international policy matters least, will the pothole be filled ?
