@natisneato I think a good 80% of discourse would disappear if reviews weren't viewed as trying to define "objective truths" about a game.

i think that "its not bad but i don't like it," and "it's not good but i like it," are useful starting places for unpacking your experience with art and putting it into words. you're allowed to have feelings on art that are more complex than "good" or "bad."

the huge mixtape hype spike and then equally large backlash really is fascinating to me in a cultural sense. As someone who definitely did not like it I have to admit that some my venom is caused by some kind of cultural resentment on my part.

@natisneato Really depends on the game, I mostly only do this for mystery or point and clicks. For the latter it's just mostly me going "I should note this down". For the former, it's more like a story summary or me making predictions that I can refer back to. Spur of the moment notes really
