Funnier fact: I found my notes on the chat. He actually answered a number of questions, including mine! The site was actually The Borgias Wiki, which is still online.
Mind you this is all from 14 years ago.
- He’d just shot a movie and was about to start another in the Summer (Bookedandbusyçois always).
- Musically, he was in the middle of a Tom Waits and Nina Simone phase. He joked that Melia Kreiling (who played the fictional character Bianca and was also in the chat) teased him about his dated music taste
- He wished to work with Frears and Soderbergh, Jessica Chastain and Octavia Spencer
- He was living in LA more than Montreal but he hated LA and preferred Montreal for its more relaxed, “European” lifestyle
- He ignored questions about possibly ever joining Twitter
- He was asked about his then-gf Evelyne Brochu (can’t remember how) and declined to answer

FUN FACT TIME. i once chatted with him. not personally, of course. but there was a site back in the day (fansite? something like that) which would sometimes give you the chance to chat with actors from tv shows and all. i managed to be there the one time arnaud was available. questions were of course FLOODING. there were probably many people asking about cesare and lucrezia, chiefly. it was season 2 time. i was (as i still am) in a beef with his season 2 wig. i now know people prefer it to season 3 wig for some reason, but i personally really hated it. so at one point, with no guarantee whatsoever that he would read, let alone answer, i just said, aren't you guys sick of the curly wigs. and, i'm not joking, he replied with a "hahahahaha". that's all the talk i got to have with françois arnaud. or if he answered to anything else i asked i have no memory of it.
