We’ve completed a major UI refactor and design refresh of Deadrare! This is vital preparation for some huge upcoming features 🚀

🧑‍🔧 Assembling the Engine: Update 28/11🛠️ On the Road to Core dApp Testnet (date TBC), we are temporarily replacing our regular weekly Dev Update with a more focused version that keeps you closer to our Core dApp build. As we speak, our diligent devs are carefully assembling important components for our DEX, inching us ever closer to Testnet. First up, the frontend team (@mikalph & @_nop33) has been working on UX/UI. Core dApp Updates: Frontend & Design Below, you will see the very earliest iteration of our Testnet interface. This is a raw UI that will be improved to match Alephium’s UX/UI standards. • First pass on the "Portfolio" page designs, also improved the "Position Creation" modal. • First pass on the "Swap" page design. • Finished the "Pools" design on the "Liquidity" page, and designed the "Pool Details" modal. • Completed integration with the bridge widget on the "Bridge" page. Core dApp Updates: Backend & Smart Contracts As @hongchao says, “the devil is in the details”, so the backend team has been doing precise refinement. • Support referral in SDK for CLMM and CPMM. • Bug fixes of the SDK for swapping. • Increase and remove liquidity in CLMM position management. This development is about precision, which is why every item in this update ensures that when the Core dApp goes live, it will be as secure and reliable as possible. Still no documentation, no specs, not even a rough description of the configuration of nodes and how centralized/permissioned the sources of truth are going to be. No comment about the code overhaul after testnet, which was never externally tested (and no, audits aren't a substitute). No comment about who is supposed to fund provers if there's no token. Etc. Etc. So many mission-critical open questions, so few answers. Yet, they are planning to launch in a week or so. This is the KRC-20 launch all over again. Not a single lesson was learned (except maybe to hire a presenter with zero technical competence, but a knack for deflecting core issues). I've tried to help, I really did. First from the inside, then from the outside. But you can't really talk to people looking to cash in ASAP, even if it means hurting the entire ecosystem. I just hope enough builders in the $kas ecosystem understand the severity of the situation. Nothing left to do but sit back and "enjoy" the disaster in real time.

Web3 gaming makes no sense if you are trying to put the game itself on-chain. We only need things of value to be replicated in a global ledger. What NFTs can be really useful for is providing a standard marketplace for trading limited edition cosmetic items. Devs will choose it, otherwise each game needs their own custom marketplace. Gamers will like the consistent connected experience, they won’t even know its on chain. Collectors will like being able to export it to their wallet and proof it’s legit. We need a simple Unity and Unreal Engine plugin, for bringing assets on-chain.
