LTTE came into existence because of genocidal policy and pogroms carried out by the Sri Lankan state. LTTE had no aspirations to split India. They were fighting for an independent homeland within Sri Lanka itself, the north and east of the country to be precise. Distorting history doesn’t benefit India or the real grievances of Eelam Tamils.
