Thanks to Martin Mongan for reporting the new 90-minute fare being introduced on Cork city bus services this Summer. A tag-on service to allow quicker boarding will follow. That was meant to be introduced in August but is delayed for technical issues. independent.ie/regionals/cork…

That's terrible! Enforcement of residential burning is difficult, so combining good policy with public awareness is key. We've seen big reductions in air pollution since the smoky fuels ban came into effect in 2022. Most noticeably in small towns...looking at you, #Enniscorthy
