Shows I've added 6lbs of muscle since November, but still have plenty of fat to drop. From the heavy lifts, though, my bone mineral density is off the charts 🙂 My workouts now are shifting to become more frequent & more focused on maintaining high heart rate vs strength-building Nutrition will keep a strict macro balance & run me at a slight calorie deficit I've learned that, for me, success is highly dependent on tracking the numbers closely I'm doing this for health/fitness benefits, to prove to myself I can still do big things & to hopefully inspire others to do similar Maybe I'll hit the goal. Maybe I won't. But you miss 100% of the shots you don't take. So I'm going for it. Hope you think about going after a big goal, too 💪

@SteveOnSpeed 401k is fine for most people but way too limiting for a sophisticated investor. Many plans have poor fund choices that punish loyal employees that have their money trapped. My separate IRA & investment accounts far outperform my 401k returns.

This is a dreadfully poor mindset. 401(k)s are a no-brainer way to build massive wealth, and many companies offer a company match, which is free money. These accounts easily add up to millions over a career. Ignore them at your peril.

@adamtaggart Sorry about that man. I’ve lifted weights for over 30yrs & stayed pretty fit but the last couple have been tough too. Chiropractor has helped some but like a high-mileage car, things just don’t run like they used to.

Well, got the orthopedic review this morning and it’s not good Severe osteoarthritis — no cartilage left And massive osteophytes that block range of motion They said mobility work is likely to be of no use — same with stem cells and PRP Gave me a cortisone shot and recommended finding ways to avoid impinging motion (no bench presses, etc). And told me I’ll definitely need shoulder replacement surgery in the future. I'm not happy about the diagnosis. But not surprised either. I will not let it deter me from living an active, fit & fulfilling life. So I won't be slowing down, though I'll be more mindful in what I do shoulder-wise Remember: We can't control what happens to us. But we can control how we respond to it. Focus on the latter. I am.
