Did you know that sounds are really just vibrations? Today we made these “telephones” and experimented with sound waves in science class. 📞👂🏼

We’re learning about information transfer and how devices communicate with patterns of 1s and 0s. These 4th graders are using this idea to create pixilated works of art. @EastElemCCS

We spent the week building spooky houses and wiring them with Halloween lights as part of our science unit on energy and electricity. Today our hard work paid off as EES students took the 4th Grade Spooky House Tour. @EastElemCCS

We made solar-powered ovens today, but due to cloud coverage, we had to get a little help from electrical energy to heat these s’mores. No complaints though. 😋 @EastElemCCS

These 4th graders devised clean energy plans today. We combined information about wind energy, solar energy, and water energy to determine the best alternative energy sources for a town called Boulderville. @MysterySci @EastElemCCS

What if there were no electricity? 💡Today we learned all about electrical energy and made these amazing LED flashlights from index cards, LEDs, batteries, and aluminum foil. 🔦 @MysterySci @EastElemCCS
