Great article on Alberta and separation from Senator Paula Simons @Paulatics “Blood and soil ethno-nationalism doesn’t work here, because Canada has been multicultural since our very beginning, long before the first traders and colonizers and settlers arrived, home not to one single Indigenous culture but to hundreds of distinct languages and traditions. Our colonial roots were both French and English—not to mention Scottish and Irish and Welsh, so we’ve been multilingual since the first Europeans landed. No other country has been as successful at creating a truly multicultural nation of tolerance and inclusion. And it’s not some elite “liberal” notion that Laurentian Canada has imposed on Alberta. Far from it. Multiculturalism as national public policy was first championed in 1971 by Harry Strom, the Social Credit premier who preceded Lougheed. Back then, multiculturalism was pushed hardest by Alberta’s Ukrainian community, who chafed under the limitations of the old “two founding nations” bicultural paradigm. You might well call official multiculturalism Alberta’s greatest gift to Canada, since it has enabled us to become a global powerhouse ideally equipped to compete in a global economy.” albertaviews.ca/the-case-for-s…

Just when you thought the book bans couldn’t get any worse… Libraries are required to track who accesses “restricted materials”, store that information and then hand it over to government “library inspectors”? #abpoli #ableg #cdnpoli
Missellie@Missellie19

#publiclibrary #censorship #UCPCorruption Received this email from my public Library today. This is stunning. There will be “Library Inspectors” now. They will have access to what type of material I like to read ?

Every Albertan should be shocked by the news of one of the largest data breaches in Canadian history, involving their personal information allegedly being used by separatists and their leaders. This is invasive. It is dangerous. And it puts Albertans at risk. Any political party involved should be immediately deregistered and have its access to sensitive personal voter data revoked. We trust the RCMP and Elections Alberta will investigate and prosecute this to the fullest extent of the law, and ensure there are real consequences for anyone involved in putting Albertans at risk.

Taking Alberta Forward, We Stand With #Canada!
Alberta has been built by people who can smell bullshit. albertareferendumb2026.ca “From farmers and ranchers to energy workers, teachers and nurses, Albertans know the difference between facts and a sales pitch.” Brilliant work exposing the UCP’s referendum website for what it is — a taxpayer-funded sales pitch dressed up as information. Alberta has been built by people who can smell bullshit. From farmers and ranchers to energy workers, teachers and nurses, we know the difference between real facts and government spin. The facts still matter, and yes, we can smell the BS a mile away. Looking at you, UCP.

Alberta's 17th Premier @RachelNotley published an excellent op-ed in the Globe and Mail about how the UCP is putting democracy at risk with their attempt to rig the election: "I can say, with utter certainty, that at no time did I even casually consider abusing my power as Premier or our legislative majority. It has to stop here. "If we allow politicians to rig elections, then we will be giving them carte blanche to do anything they want. No politician should ever hold that power." Well worth the read: theglobeandmail.com/opinion/articl…

Great to see Minister Williams absolutely own NDP activist “reporter” @JSJamato who apparently thinks it’s super ok for kids to have access to explicit images without parental consent. Masterclass Dan! Well done.
Courtney Theriault@cspotweet

"I'm sorry this is for journalists today- is that a serious question from the media?" @JSJamato asks Minister Dan Williams if the UCP campaigned on library policy and muni code of conduct, with the minister pushing back claiming the question is a political motivated attack.

Duane Bratt is one of Canada's great teachers. He's based in Calgary. It's impossible to watch or listen to Duane and not learn important things. Thanks for your commitment to Canada, Professor @DuaneBratt and teaching us why the commitment makes a lot of Canadian Common Sense.

This thread is now being down ranked. Please do your part in retweeting it. It contains frame by frame analysis from ALL the videos we’ve seen today, showing how ICE murdered this man. It is important people see the truth! 🫡
Adam Cochran (adamscochran.eth)@adamscochran

1/12 Frame by frame breakdown of this MURDER shows ICE is lying! -ICE had ALREADY disarmed the man before shooting. -The man NEVER drew his gun. At the 0:06 second mark we see the man’s hands on the ground covered in large gloves. His hands are empty.

🚨 ALERT: In a bombshell interview that's sending shockwaves across the Arctic, former Greenlandic MP Tillie Martinussen delivered a chilling warning: Greenlanders "can never really trust America again." "We do not want to be rich like Americans. Look how greedy they are, even trying to invade their friends. Even if there are minerals and oil under our land—and they are worth far more—we still would not sell ourselves. We know what happened to Indigenous people in Alaska and Native Americans. Their land was taken, and they were not treated well. We see who Trump surrounds himself with—white power people—and we are not white. We are people of color. We know our rights would likely be taken away."
