“It took cancer to realize that being self-centered is not the way to live. The answer is to try and help others.”

Terry’s parents arrive, and Terry is bowed but not broken. “I’ve got cancer in my lungs... all I can say is that if there is any way I can get out there and finish, I will.”
Even then, Terry had hope.

With every mile Terry endures terrible pain. He finally goes to a hospital; cancer has returned. It is the last day of the Marathon of Hope.
Journal entry: "21 miles. 3,339 miles."

After a busy day yesterday, my coach @kirkjaques had me take it easy today. Widget and I did some yoga. This is the first pose she taught me the day we brought her home. “Run around till exhausted, then fall asleep with your paws in the air.”
No training walk today, but Widget and I did some yoga. She taught me a few new poses; yellow Tweety bird optional. #TerryFox#TerryFoxRun#LittleMissWidget
After two days off because of the heat, my coach @kirkjaques had me training again today. Our walk took us by my favourite neighbourhood sign. #TryLikeTerry
Today is the Terry Fox Trek. We know Canadians across the country will be virtually climbing their own version of Mt. Terry Fox using our interactive new App. terryfox.org/app/
