I miss the innocence of loving someone wholeheartedly without the constant fear of them hurting you.

The biggest skill you can develop is the ability to reset fast. Bad conversation? Move on. Bad day? Start fresh tomorrow. Missed workout? Hit it the next day. Poor decision? Learn and adjust. You can’t control what happens to you, but you control how long you let it affect you.

I’ve realized that many people don’t actually love reading books. They love the identity of being someone who reads books. The aesthetic of it. The photos. The intellectual vibe. But the quiet discipline of reading slowly and thinking deeply? That part is very unpopular.

Zero drainage! Insecurity is at an all time high! No street lights! This city is a hellhole!! But the statehouse budget is 17B?!

Having a fat salary and a healthy workplace is such an underrated privilege. You leave at 5pm, No micromanagement, WFH supported, Disagree with boss is okay, Leave approved without questions.... It's all a blessing. Take care of it .

I just went to get an IUD consultation at a gynecologist and she goes, we can do it here, but just so you know, we don't numb. We won't numb your cervix here. And I go, why? And she goes, because the doctor at this clinic doesn't allow it. And I said who is that doctor? She pointed towards a male gynaecologist & said “dear even if I request it, he won't allow it”. And then i asked that male gynaecologist why he won't allow it, he told me because apparently, according to him, that's actually not even where the pain's coming from. So it doesn't even make sense to numb the cervix. i said its painful and he replied “its a part of being a woman”

i find it really fcked up when you have to ask men “what if she was your sister, daughter or mother” in order to make them see women as valuable human beings

these are the type of privileges i randomly remember i have and then i burst into tears because we’ve have really come such a long way. forever grateful to all the women who shaped this path for me.

Me leaving an incredible dinner with my friends where the drinks were flowing, the gossip was captivating, and the food was amazing.
