𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐁𝐞𝐥𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐬 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐌𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 Legacy Network, Northern Ireland Alternatives and East Belfast Memorial Committee have worked together in partnership to reach agreement on the re-imaging of the large mural on the Newtownards Road. This has been a genuinely collaborative and community-supported process. Through extensive engagement and constructive discussion, stakeholders from across the loyalist community in East Belfast have come together with respect for our shared history and a clear focus on the future. Our past remains an important part of who we are. It has shaped our community and deserves to be understood in its proper context. At the same time, this project marks an exciting new chapter, one centred on renewal, positive expression and strengthening relationships within the area. The unanimous support behind this initiative speaks volumes. It demonstrates leadership, maturity and what can be achieved when dialogue and goodwill are placed at the heart of decision-making. Work will commence soon, and we look forward to unveiling a new piece of artwork that reflects both our heritage and our ambition for the future of East Belfast.

I am very excited and honoured to receive a CBE today, for my services to peace and reconciliation. It’s for everyone who believes empathy and dialogue can heal even the deepest divides. I'm also thinking of everyone affected by war and violent conflict. #CBE #Empathy #Peace

This day last week our beautiful baby boy Dara came into the world. Our hearts are so full & I’m endlessly grateful to the staff at the Royal - especially the amazing midwives in the active birth centre - for their excellent care 💕

It was wonderful to attend a St Patrick's Day reception at 10 Downing St yesterday, the first of its kind.  Thank you to PM @Keir_Starmer for hosting a fantastic celebration of all things Irish and for recognising the deep bonds shared between our islands.

So , I am asking everyone who follows me to share this. Lisa Dorrian was an innocent young woman who was murdered and then her body hidden. Please help her family , who love her, get her home and bury her with her mum , who died heartbroken. Journalists , please share. Please interview Joanne Dorrian, please spread the word. The people who with Joanne that night know.
