Swarbrick doubles down and justifies their actions by saying they “want somewhere to express their frustration” and it’s understandable “that frustration is currently directly colliding with the members of parliament who are impediments to progress on this kaupapa“. Combined with the recent Green Party letter of support for the lawyer who vandalised National party electorate offices, an undeniable pattern of supporting harassment against govt MPs’ is emerging.

Chloe Swarbrick takes to social media to say the 3 kiwis, Rana Hamida, Youssef Sammour and Samuel Leason who deliberately ignored an explicit 'do not travel' advisory in place for Gaza, are fine. The advisory explicitly warns New Zealanders against any attempt to enter Gaza by sea in breach of Israeli Navy restrictions, including participation in flotillas to deliver aid. Of course, Swarbrick makes no mention of this.
