From the look of things, it is obvious that anyone earning above 800,000 annually will pay more tax starting next year. If this is truly the case, Nigerians must clearly see the results in better social amenities for the masses. If not, if taxes increase without visible improvements in roads, healthcare, education, security, and basic services, then Nigerians will have every right to take to the streets in a mass protest.

We commend the Government of Ekiti State and congratulate its people for becoming the first state to domesticate this law - a truly historic milestone. We look forward to similar progress in other states where the bill is already advanced, including Zamfara, Anambra, and Kano. Lagos State has also committed to adoption, alongside several others. The benefits of tax reform are becoming increasingly visible, and relief for the people is within reach. 𝑵𝒊𝒈𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒂 𝒊𝒔 𝒘𝒊𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈.
