@grahamchatterl2 I agree. And really feel we have to address quality and access to end-of-life care, as well as the cost of care, as part of this process, so that a decision about new legislation is safer.

I watched both my grandparents waste away with Alzheimer's, I can see it terrifies my Dad that it's going to happen to him But I also have a disabled child It's amazing how many are so black and white on this issue

@BernaMeaden @FionasWriting This was a terrible, unjustifiable thing, but it should be noted that this article is 4.5 years old and related to early pandemic

@Sue_Cowley Would these two young men also be in detention? They were 2 of the queen's pallbearers. There's no employer or context, where these haircuts would cause a problem

I mean, look at this. How does this punishment possibly match the supposed offence of having a haircut? Even if you agree with the rule, surely you can see that these consequences are out of order? No wonder YP are rejecting the system.
Ros Wilson@rosBIGWRITING

This is a young man I know personally. He is 14 and has had a new haircut (shown). He has been given a 60 mins detention EVERY evening & isolation every break & lunch until his hair grows. Help - is this normal educational behaviour? I am horrified.

@edpsydan This was helpful to get me to make the move. It felt too much to start from nowhere at all, thanks for this

Giselle - Adult Social Care Warriors
@SKinnock @DHSCgovuk It’s unfair harsh & immoral to ask someone with long term adult social care needs to give up their modest income from benefits to pay for social care The Dilnot commission recognised this challenge & in 2011 recommended a zero cap for people who turn 18 with eligible care needs.

It's interesting to look at them. The Conservatives have very little information, just broad headlines which don't clarify what they will do, really. Its important that disabled people are supported to vote, when government policies have such impact myvotemyvoice.org.uk

It took a long time for the 2 main parties to produce easy-read manifestos to support learning disabled people to decide how to vote (LibDems and Greens were much quicker).mencap.org.uk/general-electi…

Good morning, have a brilliant day. From 1984 Moira Stewart reads some of the names of the seventeen candidates for the Chesterfield by-election in 1984.

Has anyone thought about staff in the NHS, police and fire services who would have to find people to supervise and identify tasks for a bunch of reluctant 18 year olds at weekends?
