@LisaDNews Urgh, radio is still the best way to reach large numbers of people fast. Their loss, ABC's and NPR's gain.

If Rand is a no and every other Republican is a yes, Mullin would need a Dem to support him to get out of committee and to the floor. Fetterman has said he would support him.

Judge reinstates more than 1,000 government journalists fired by Kari Lake. She not only failed to provide a ‘reasoned analysis’ for her decisions, the judge said: “there is an absence of any analysis whatsoever.” Story by @ronaldjhansen via @azcentral azcentral.com/story/news/pol…

POTUS Trump had no choice but take out radical terrorist sponsor regime in Iran. Other presidents cost American lives not having the necessary strength, love of this country and its citizens. Bargaining with Iran for decades was an unacceptable and abysmal failure. You should really read a history book. Obama denied Ukraine their appropriated armaments. He didn’t really-really care. What did you write about all of that?

Excuse me. I think you have this all backwards. This is who signed the bill to allow it. President Obama signed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2015 into law on December 19, 2014, which included a provision (Section 3003) authorizing the land exchange for Oak Flat to Resolution Copper, effectively allowing the mining project to move forward after environmental reviews. This was a rider attached to the must-pass defense bill, despite opposition from some quarters, including Indigenous groups who argued it bypassed proper consultation.

@grablekelly05 @tomryanlaw @andybiggs4az Does nobody read my stories? That was spliced onto the defense bill at midnight to avoid debate. That's because it kept getting voted down in open session. For 10 years

Dear Native Americans, Legislation to facilitate the land exchange passed with bipartisan support in December 2014. The land exchange involves the transfer of more than 5,400 acres of environmentally and culturally sensitive land containing special status species and Native American cultural sites for inclusion in National Forests and National Conservation Areas to the USFS and Bureau of Land Management, and in return Resolution has received over 2,400 acres of land adjacent to the historic Magma Copper mine.

@beria_pavlovich @tomryanlaw @andybiggs4az And as I told you earlier, that bill languished for 10 years before MCCain got it stuck onto a must pass defense bill in what's called a midnight rider. Presidents know they have to sign them. I can't tell you if he wanted it just that he had no choice but to sign it

Huffman called the land transfer a "human rights violation, an environmental disaster in the making, and a multibillion-dollar giveaway to foreign mining companies." The mine will create a crater more than 1,000 feet deep and up to two miles across. cronkitenews.azpbs.org/2026/03/16/res…

@Debkrol Good point. That was Al Caponeish. I'm apparently not as observant as I used to be. Or just beaten down by lawyer ads.

@Rep_Grijalva Fun fact its not tribal land, managed by U.S forest Services as FEDERAL PUBLIC LAND, not tribal reservation land. This lawsuit has been going on since 2014. Obama signed legislation dec 2014 to allow for the mining to happen.

@krista11024 @Rep_Grijalva It was a late night rider to a must pass defense bill that happened after Resolution tried for 10 years to get a bill passed through the usual channels. No president has ever been able to veto one of those
