This is an absolute disgrace - and particularly harmful because there seemed to be a bit of life in the Scottish party.

@onalifeglug The party barely exists. It's not like people clinging onto the Labour Party because of loyalty to its history. If you hate YP this much at this stage, why don't you just leave? Set up your own thing?

Disgusted by elements in the Your Party leadership. Refusing basic accessibility requests, shouting over and muting people, giving wildly disproportionate time to speak based on factional alignment, just toxic anti-democratic behaviour that has no place in a socialist party

Your Party fumbled one of the most favourable election cycles they could've hoped for Scotland, Wales, London, Manchester, Birmingham, Tyneside, West Yorkshire ...

@AnsellEade In some places, well established independents will run obvs. But in other places YP needs to build presence. I do hope the name is changed tho.

@Deborah_PCP The name is a little confusing. And if the model of “[placename] community independents” works in council elections, why change it? That’s my reasoning.

It was never likely that Your Party would stand candidates under its own banner. Most of the MPs and councillors affiliated with this electoral ‘party’ have wanted party registration and membership in support of an electoral ‘coalition’.

@FranzOberh4179 @JoshHousden Yeah, done nothing. Just created draft founding documents, regional assemblies, crowd editing, organised a founding conference, agreed a constitution and standing orders, registered a party, elected a governing body. Done nothing.

@Deborah_PCP @JoshHousden So in 6 months, knowing a huge set of elections was coming in May the party has done nothing to prepare for it.

@Deborah_PCP @RosaLuxembae Completely irrelevant. We have a former chair of a national party and a former data officer of another on our interim SEC. They’ve explained exactly what needs to happen to the national party. If you can’t see what they’re doing, you’re genuinely blinkered.

@BennClips It's the same in England. People who've never set anything up have unrealistic expectations. Then get irate when their unrealistic expectations aren't met.

@BennClips I don't think you can vote for others to give you support to leave. Well, you can vote for it but you can't mandate it. If you want a separate party, the clearest route is to leave this one and set it up.

@Deborah_PCP No, we voted to start a process to make the party independent in the long term *with the support of the party*, which we were assured would be provided. We engaged in good faith and have been treated like shite.

@BennClips People were the same in Wales. Just unrealistic about timescales.

@BennClips That's not what I'm bewildered about. I'm bewildered about why you're still in. You voted to leave. And no, obviously we shouldn't have had data and funding months ago. There's no one legitimate to give it to.

@BennClips But again, why don't you just do it? If your goal is to be a separate party, what benefit is there in waiting?

@Deborah_PCP Are you joking? Jeremy and Zarah both attended Scottish conference. They agreed to support the Scottish party with whatever it needed to transition, which is to be gradual. I was there and heard them say it. Stop being so condescending.
