It’s uncomfortable seeing how Black and brown women on @ITV @loosewomen are always expected to make themselves “smaller” when talking about racism. (Another show that find me "too much" btw) Watch the power dynamics here as Kelle tries to get her point across and Gloria Hunniford smiles condescendingly at her... What the actual is going on at @ITV ...yesterday Rylan cos playing Farage and this happened. Horrible.

I appreciate you.
I appreciate you.@DeeLaSheeArt·
This is interesting cause now that I hear this I realize how the lyrics do seem to fit a middle school/high school relationship more but Fantasia sings it so well tht I never noticed. “See you coming my direction, I go the other way” is definitely a school hallway setting 😂
mia@torisonedimple

fantasia’s ‘when i see u’ was originally written for 11-year old tori kelly for her debut album and here’s her version!! 🤯 she was unfortunately dropped from geffen records after the person who signed her was fired & the song went to fantasia 3 years later

🚨Someone tell BBC to stop the release of their documentary celebrating Band Aid Bob Geldof is releasing another version of Do They Know It’s Christmas…a project that dehumanises Africans and destroys our pride and identity in the name of ‘charity’. This can’t run now in 2024

Ok ok let me say this before i sleep because y’all keep asking me to say my thoughts. In all honesty, I hate everything about wigs. It’s distorted the image of what a black woman looks like. These companies purposefully target young black girls who can’t afford it but will still spend all their money to get it because it’s the desired look for black women. But in essence it covers the beauty of our hair. We end up building terrible relationships with our hair because we’re made to feel like our natural hair is not nice (and it made me HATE everything about doing my hair). Nothing is enjoyable about wearing a wig (TO ME). From glueing it on to maintain it, it’s uncomfortable asf. These brands feed off of our insecurities and they’re the same ones that will mock us for our features. Other ethnic backgrounds thrive off of black beauty which pisses me off too. To add, which can stem a separate conversation, we’re still seen as a mockery from beauty brands who disrespect us and do not cater to us properly. Jackie Aina (& now Golloria) have literally been showing us for ages. Anyway back to the premise, we already know that the beauty standard is very euro centric but what we are doing is masking ourselves in order to fit that through wigs. We don’t have a lot of representation for the young black girls too, which bothers me because they’re forced into the idea of them wanting wigs or to just look a certain way early because it’s what looks nice and appealing to society. The relationship I now have with my hair ever since I stopped wearing wigs improved drastically because I was (& still am) experimenting on what compliments me well with how I do my hair. The only protective style i wear is braids (and on occasion micro wefts that are the same texture as my natural hair) but now i loveee my natural hair and can’t wait to relay this love to my future daughter. Everyone has a choice to do whatever it is they want with their hair and money. I just will not spend my money on that ever again. I’ll even wear braids on my wedding day loool😂 Anyway i could share other points and all but this is all i’d like to say for now

🚨Lambeth council sent a contractor to fix the water after ITV exposed the conditions of this temporary accommodation. The water still doesn’t work. Her son’s school have said if he needs a shower, he can use their school shower and hot water. Lambeth are a fucking disgrace. They are still having to go toilet in plastic bags and bottles. Please share 🙏🏽
