Lovely to meet with patients and relatives at @ECSG_UoY's PPI workshop yesterday. Their views on the future direction of our research, based on their own experiences, were amazing. Great also to catch up with PPI colleagues from @InvolvementYork, @CBR_UoY and @LeedsBRC.

Spotting cancer at an early stage means that treatment is more likely to be successful, so if you notice something that’s not normal for you, contact your doctor. In most cases, it won’t be cancer — but if it is, finding it early can make all the difference. Find out more 👇

More information on the incidence & prevalence of blood cancers can be found on our website hmrn.org. Although collectively blood cancers are the fifth most common cancer group diagnosed in the UK, many types affect few than 1 in 2,000 people #RareDiseaseDay
Blood Cancer UK@bloodcancer_uk

Today is Rare Disease Day and we wanted to shine a light on type of blood cancer you may not have heard of called CMML, which stands for chronic myelomonocytic leukaemia. Approximately 650 people develop CMML in the UK each year.
