Second, I had a talk with the roommate. She has two months to find a new place to live; we won’t be renewing the lease with her.

My roommate’s cat has now damaged my layout four different times. This isn’t the only issue we’ve been having, but it’s one of the most physically evident. Debating if it’s worth not renewing my lease with this person for another year… Thoughts?

@Phone_Bin_Diver Nothing went wrong, per se. My circumstances changed, I’ll be needing my own bedroom in the near future (I sleep in our living room to save costs), and we’ve been having additional issues with this roommate beyond just the layout. She has her own family nearby; she’ll be fine.

@abradleystocks @conrat4567 -the lease and knew this would be the case when we agreed to move in together as a group. Originally her plan was to move out in a couple years anyway for different reasons, and we’ve lived together for 2 years until circumstances recently changed. This was always a possibility.

I applied for and signed the lease first, I paid the full deposit, and I set up the entire place so that both of my roommates actually have their own bedrooms whereas I don’t (long story). @DecadesofSun I understand its in the living room because of space, but at what point do you realise there isnt enough space in a small 2 bed apartment? I would love a full size 00 layout, but its just not possible in the space im in. I suppose now though, you will have a spare room for it
