I usually lurker but Jesus, ive never seen a fandom nastier to fic writes than HR. Here's your, apparently necessary, reminder to simply click off a fic when you dont like it and move on with your day. All you will do is chase people who are the backbone of of this fandom out.

Maybe instead of pulling fics we should start mass blocking these people who are making horrible comments. Got a comment rating a fic? Blast the user. All of us writers will block them. Make people have shame for poor behaviour!!

basic fanfic ettiquette since many ppl seem to struggle with it: DONT demand for new chapters DONT give unwanted critique DONT publicly shit talk fics DONT improperly tag if youre an author DO leave positive comments DO engage w ongoing fics DO give recs of lesser known fics

either way, you're gonna get nice and normal to fic writers, and when you don’t like a fic you click back and look for something you like, or you're gonna ruin your fandom for real. and I’m also talking about “nice criticism”—hockey, language errors, character behaviour, etc.
