April 4, 2006… a day I will never forget. I went to Dowen College that morning, chasing an opportunity through a friend. The proposal didn’t go through. No deal. No breakthrough. Just another “no.” But God wasn’t done. Around 4:00pm, my phone rang. “My love, mo ti bi mo…” (My love, I have given birth.) The call dropped. No money. No transport fare. Just faith and urgency. I made my way to LUTH. And there, in the middle of uncertainty… God gave us a gift. A beautiful baby girl. We named her Grace. Because that’s exactly what she represents. Maybe peace begins the moment you allow life to unfold without your constant interrogation, when you trust that not everything needs to be controlled to be understood. Some things arrive gently when you stop chasing them, some lessons make sense only in hindsight. Let life meet you where you are. Let it surprise you. Not everything is meant to be figured out. Some things are meant to be felt, lived, and trusted as they come.

One of our church sisters who relocated to Toronto called me early morning yesterday, I joking told her that you've forgotten me here, omoge. She laughed and said, mummy oya send your email, I laughed, I said if you must give me something, bless the church because in the last one year, the ministry has been suffering financially. Infact all my line of credits had been exhausted in the cause of extending it towards the rent of the space. While I was still speaking, she said, mummy i have sent you receipt. Upon opening it, i couldn't cry. She sent 1k Cad. She mentioned that, that's little and going forward she will keep the church in mind. She added that, ma, we see all that you do for people, and I know how many had resulted to reward you with evil but we that are here knows your worth. She only spent one or two nights in my house, I only check in on her time to time to ensure she is fine. Yet, the people who lived in my house for 2years free, that i sponsored without taking a dine from left the church and still go speak ill of the ministry because all of them are seeking who will pay them. Many churches are paying workers, and that makes them feel i have too. All the love that was poured into them feels like a wasted effort. Her words cut through my heart. Not just because of the money but because she appreciates the little time I had poured in her. My hope was reignited. We had done so much to imagine what we are going through now but it is but a little trial.þ Most of the people I had done little for are those who don't forget.... The other day, it was an Indian church who is subleasing from us that donated 1300 cad to the church to support us. All the members that are giving their all to ensure the progress of the ministry, the Lord will continue to increase you all. You all will never be stranded. I know that the Lord will build his church and uphold it with his right hand of righteousness. All the thoughts and plans of the devil over the ministry will be aborted. Bethelchapel will live because the righteousness of God upon her abounds more and more. Amen
