🧵 1/ Why is Ethereum Classic important for decentralization? Because decentralization is cute on a hoodie… Until it costs you something. Let’s talk. 2/ Everybody says they love decentralization. “No central control!” “No censorship!” “Power to the people!” Cool. But what happens when there’s pressure? That’s where Ethereum Classic enters the chat. 3/ In 2016, Ethereum had a crisis. A huge hack. Money gone. The community had two choices: A) Reverse the blockchain. B) Keep it exactly as it was. Ethereum Classic chose B. 4/ Why does that matter? Because reversing a blockchain means: Someone had the power to change history. And if history can be changed once… It can be changed again. 5/ Think of it like this: Imagine a teacher changes exam results because parents complained loudly enough. Was the system ever fair? Ethereum Classic said: “No changing the results. The rules stand.” 6/ That decision made ETC the chain of immutability.
