BVE/JH would like to invite our retired teachers and staff of Bureau Valley Elementary/Jr. High to our retirement breakfast. Retired teachers and staff can RSVP to join us at 9:00 on Thursday, May 21st.
Mrs. Price's ELA classes participated in the state-wide writing competition, Letters About Literature. Students had to choose a book that changed their perspective on life or a specific topic. Students were recognized for their writing with certificates from the state.
WOW!! 173 pounds of pop tabs donated by BV at the IAJHSC to support the Ronald McDonald House! Congratulations to 8D on winning our contest and earning a pizza party. Thank you to all who supported our collection. Start saving for next year!
Congratulations to the 26-27 Northwestern District Representative, Stevie Davis!! Stevie was voted as one of seven individuals over the state of Illinois to represent our district to lead the Illinois Association of Junior High Student Councils. We are so proud of you!
Junior High Student Council represented Bureau Valley at the 67th Illinois Association of Junior High Student Councils Conference. Members learned about leadership, ways to support our school and communities, and made connections with other schools.
Our 7th graders brought history to life at our Presidential & First Lady Tea! 🇺🇸
Students dressed as the leaders they researched, shared speeches in front of the green screen, and enjoyed tea and cookies together.

Junior High Student Council invites all 6-8 students to this year's dance on Friday, April 24th from 5:30-7 pm in the high school gym. Permission forms are due by next Wednesday, April 22nd. Let's Glow Crazy!!!
Junior High students were challenged to read at least 5 of the 20 Rebecca Caudill books from the 2025 list this school year. Forty-three students completed the challenge and were celebrated with refreshments, awards, stickers and bookmarks today!

Congratulations to Bailey Wiggim for receiving an Honorable Mention at the Woodlawn Arts Academy Student-Teacher Art Exhibition! Bailey's artwork will be displayed on a banner on the First Avenue bridge between Sterling and Rock Falls.
