A few generations ago, the same characters who currently want a group of indigenes in Palestinr to disappear so that pale-skinned, blue-eyed settler-colonists can steal their land in peace, were doing the exact same thing in South Africa. It's no coincidence at all that Apartheid South Africa's strongest ally was the same Zionist entity, and that many of the genocide tactics that were later used in Palestine were first practised and perfected in Soweto and kwaZulu Natal. One of these tactics was to label their armed resistance groups as "terrorists" because as we all know and agree, white people should be free to steal your land and rename it, kill your people, rape your women, corall you into tiny, movement-restricted ghettos, and turn you into an everlasting underclass - but picking up arms to fight back makes you a "terrorist" like Nelson Mandela was, before they rebranded him into Black Jesus. In fact, until 2008, Mandela, the world-renowned "terrorist," was on the FBI global antiterror watch list, and even as South Africa's president, he needed special dispensation to travel to the US. Elite UK student bodies that would go on to produce heads of state and foreign ministers used to gather at the Oxford Union wearing "Hang Mandela" shirts, campaigning for the British government to provide more military assistance to the Apartheid government, and for Mandela the "terrorist" to be taken out of his cell at Robben Island and hanged publicly. A generation later, the children of the people who witnessed these events up close in Africa are joining oyibos to celebrate the death of another "terrorist" who is fighting the occupier of his stolen land. Despite having Internet access, they don't know that before this occupier chose to steal land in Palestine, the planned location for the so-called "Israel" to steal land from was a portion of East Africa that spans modern day Kenya and Uganda. They know nothing about their own (recent) history, nothing about their own context, and nothing about their own place in the world. Their job on earth is to repeat other people's narratives, inject themselves uninvited into other people's conversations, lionize other people's perceived heroes, and hate other people's perceived enemies. Learning about the world and their place in it is too much work, especially when a white man has already prepared and packaged a set of easy narratives for them to consume. To paraphrase a Ugandan proverb, a people who don't know where they are coming from cannot know where they are going, and if they do not know where they are going, any road will take them there. Shebi oyibo's friends are your friends, and their enemies are your enemies? No wam. We will all learn geopolitics by force.
