I imagine Knuckles wanted to tag along with Tails and Sonic in Sonic Heroes. Ig he’d leave the Master Emerald if it meant having some fun every now and then. He must’ve enjoyed the his adventure into space in SA2. Makes this Frontiers moment hold more weight.
