@clintwfischer Grow crops, don't marry them. Ground in your 20s will cost less than ground in your 30's. Time is the most valuable asset a young guy has. Debt management is key. Couple farms I let go of early on I shouldnt have. Didn't think I could swing it at the time. Regret it now.

Next weekend I get to speak to a group of Kentucky Young Farmers. If you could go back in time & tell 20 yr old you one piece of advice, what would it be? I'm going to put together a slide (or 2+) with the best responses to this question. Comment your wisdom please ⤵️

@brianu24 What about 20's... We've found a difference after splitting a few field's. Not much but some. Biggest advantage to our 20 inch planter is no wheels running over the row. Cheers 🍻

4 years on farm data. No yield difference between 15" soybeans vs 30", same populations, same planting dates throughout the year. One planter plants 15 other one does 30s.

Sold some soybeans this morning. $15.75. Sure it might go higher. But that’s the highest I’ve ever sold for in my farming career.
