At the gate he was told "I'm sorry, they just closed the gate. You're too late." He made his way to the airport lounge, booked the next available flight, and fell asleep. He woke up roughly 40 minutes later to learn that Flight 11 had crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center. All 92 people on board were kil*ed
