Valar: on track to first power 🦾 Will be scaling before you know it 🏭📈 Gigasites and gigawatts in their future A nuclear IPO went quite well last week - just wait until the world sees a company scaling and building and actually doing the things - far ahead of everyone else's plans --- Meanwhile I'm just burning tokens like they're free, believing in a future where Valar makes them much, much cheaper 😅

Today, the DOE accepted our Documented Safety Analysis (DSA) for the Ward250 Reactor. The DSA is our final design approval, demonstrating that we have satisfied the DOE’s rigorous safety standards in engineering and construction. Next, Readiness Review and power before July 4.

Isaiah Taylor - making nuclear reactors
So proud of my team, and grateful for the leadership of the DOE and POTUS. This is not a normal DSA. Power is a different level—the volume and complexity of systems required when you have burnup is a massive step up. The Valar team is showing that they are up to the challenge.

Before Radical AI: a scientist spends weeks on a single hypothesis. One idea, one experiment, one result at a time. After Radical AI: an AI agent generates millions of novel materials in a day, filters them down to the best candidates, and sends them directly to a lab to be built and tested. No waiting. No manual handoffs. @josephfkrause at @DeepTechNY 2026, on what it looks like when material science finally runs in parallel.

When you are offered a ride on a rocket ship → you take it 🚀 Relatively few VCs actually multiply capital / win the game / get DPI ... while @susannahshipton and @marshallporter get this job done and then some So, in Suse's words: "If you're obsessed with the craft of finding and investing in founders and companies who are building the future then this job is for you." @abemurray and I launched a podcast — @thelongfrontier . Deep tech. One topic per episode. Real depth, real science, real engineering tradeoffs. Episode 1 is live! All about the orbital economy and in-space propulsion. We sat down with @JeffThornburg Thornburg (CEO of @PortalSpaceSys , former @SpaceX Raptor architect) and walked through the physics of how we move things in space — and why it's about to change dramatically. The space economy is ~$600B. There are 15-20K satellites up there. And most of them can barely maneuver. We've built the airports. We haven't built the roads. Follow along → @thelongfrontier

We meet the coolest people building incredible things We go deep on technologies and sectors and get to geek out / have fun / think hard about the sci-fi future we see coming And now we are sharing this with you all --- the world doesn't need another podcast 😅 but it absolutely needs more folks dreaming about turning science fiction into science reality 🦾 → this you? listen in!

.@josephfkrause at @southpkcommons on the scale of material discovery: “There are ~10⁴⁰ different potential combinations. That's like a hundred trillion Earths of different potential combinations that you can go synthesize.” So how do you explore something this vast? Here’s how we approach it. So excited to share the news of our $50M Series A. Maneuver continues to be the US space warfighter's number one technology gap, and we're developing the only propulsion and spacecraft innovation that meets the growing need for sustained mobility between LEO, MEO, GEO, and the expanding cislunar domain.

The SpaceX Mafia is taking over. Here's who's building.... - Impulse Space: in-space logistics - Varda Space: manufacturing in orbit - Hermeus: Mach 5 aircraft - K2 Space: low-cost large satellites - Castelion: hypersonic missiles - Radiant Nuclear: portable microreactors - Machina Labs: AI-driven manufacturing - Apex Space: satellite infrastructure - Ursa Major: next-gen propulsion We've seen this playbook before. The PayPal Mafia reshaped how we live online. This group is reshaping our future.
