VIDEO | World Health Day: ENT expert Dr. Samir Bhargava warns against prolonged earphone use, urges 60–60 rule to prevent early hearing loss. Dr. Samir says, “We all believe health is wealth. It is very important that we adopt healthy habits so that we can live a long and fulfilling life. Nowadays, many people use headphones and earphones for long periods. We see children, young adults, and others constantly absorbed in their phones. People even cross roads with headphones on, completely unaware of their surroundings. Prolonged use of headphones can be harmful to ear health. We are seeing cases of early hearing loss, which can be attributed to increasing noise exposure in daily life. My request is to everyone is to limit the use of earphones and headphones. Use them for a short duration and avoid high volume. Follow the 60–60 rule: use them for less than 60 minutes a day and keep the volume below 60%. This will help protect your hearing. Remember, our health is our wealth. Stay healthy, stay happy.” #WorldHealthDay #HealthIsWealth #HearingCare #StayHealthy
