Maharashtra Municipal Corporation Elections 2025-26 1. Pune - Hung with BJP as SLP. BJP facing huge anti-incumbancy basic issues are still there like water, pathholes, encroachments, pollution, and most important traffic are still there. On the local level, anti-incumbancy is far more than MLAs and MP level. BJP lacking big time in campaign.RSS leaders are also not happy with many rebels are there. Cadre is angry over ticket distribution. On the other side, NCP is doing fabulous campaigns and going all against the local BJP. So in and all NCP will do better but will not cross majority. Since BJP has cadre, good organisations, strong faces, and safe wards compared NCP, but BJP will also not cross the majority on its own. BJP will SLP. So, the possibly hung verdict is expected. INC, both shivsena's and Independents will hold key to government formations. 2. Pimpri-Chinchwad - BJP In PCMC, politics is different from pune. Here, Nategote (relatives) playing their role. BJP is doing good campgin and here to anti-incumbancy is there and BJP has good organisation, strong faces including imported from NCP and some development work giving edge to BJP . Ajit pawar is more active in pune than PCMC. Local NCP leaders have good relations with BJP now. BJP expanded their presence in Pimpri with having a strong base in chinchwad. This on Bhosari side they were facing anti-incumbancy Many stalwarts also left NCP for BJP. So BJP will cross the majority on its own or may short of 3-4 seats for the majority.
