This is mind-blowing (I only wish I knew it sooner). Easy linear regression coefficient reports in R. This is how:

@TheStrugglingS4 At my university we don't :) so there is less pressure on publishing and this helps me do slower, more careful, and meticulous research without worrying about publishing within a time-frame.

Some PhDs don't need to publish papers while others need to publish two if not more to be able to get their PhD. Are you required to publish papers to get your PhD?

@Alex_Hunt1995 Do you think you could write to them already anyway? Let them know that you're a really good fit but a bit too early? Never hurts to reach out, I think, especially if you think your research is super aligned!

Just when I found an advertised postdoc position which aligns with my research interests (social psych, rhetoric, and ideology) - it turns out I'm a few months too early to be considered eligible for application 🥹

📢 New publication on social psychology review! First in a series of papers about political persuasion, we used discursive psychology to show how politicians rhetorically legitimised their positions by identifying with audiences and cherished values. doi.org/10.53841/bpssp…

Many seem to disagree and think this advice can only come from a place of privilege. What few of the men responding seem to realize, however, is that the system is toxic to women, so yes, I’d definitely advice junior women in science to join a lab that is fighting the system.
Michael 英泉 Eisen@mbeisen

Want a simple rule? Does the lab judge its success by where it publishes? Does it consider a Science, Cell or Nature paper to be the highest accomplishment? If so, it's not serious about doing science right. You should join a lab that's fighting the system, not playing in it.

I am very honoured to have received two awards at the Eastern Psychological Association conference. Big thanks to my village and to my inspiration @esposito_alena My first-gen brain is overwhelmed, yet all the more galvanized to continue doing good science and paying it forward

@FrancescPoli Hi there! If you want to follow the social model (instead of the clinical one), you may want to look into suggestions for inclusive and non-ableist language. For example here: liebertpub.com/doi/10.1089/au…. Happy to chat if you want too as well!

Yesterday we graduated with our MSc in Behavioural Science. I was so lucky to have these amazing, intelligent and supportive people in my life for the past two years. And now... no matter if it is in Zurich, Nijmegen, Edinburgh, Ghent or Hamburg, let's keep doing amazing science!
