I act accordingly with officers and it always goes well. If I deserve a ticket, I accept it. You can’t fight it there anyway, so fight it in court. I have even not been given a ticket for being realistic about the speed I was going. There are bad cops, but they can’t pull that off as easy these days. Bad people need to see consequences. More justified consequences equal less crime, less death and a better world for those that want peace.

@PoliceThePolic1 Probably not. They enjoy lauding their “power” over “lesser beings”. And I have no doubt that a majority of them join the force for that exact reason.

You think cops ever have this level of self reflection?

Who would want to become a police officer when they are treated so bad? We are lucky that there are any good people I the profession. You have to walk on eggshells while dealing with the worst people in society. If you comply in a reasonable way, you should rarely have a crazy situation. If you act a fool, I can’t be empathetic about the result of your interaction. These days many people try to game the cops to try to sue them later. It isn’t a one way street and it is sad that some people never learn how to interact after repeated hard lessons.
