📱❌ Drive now. Text later. This April, Deerfield Police are increasing enforcement on illegal cellphone use while driving. Distracted driving causes preventable crashes—help keep our community safe. Keep your eyes on the road, and your phone out of your hands.

Deerfield Police conducted enhanced traffic enforcement March 13–23 during St. Patrick’s Day festivities, making 29 traffic stops and issuing 12 citations. These efforts support ongoing road safety—please drive responsibly and celebrate safely.

January Traffic Enforcement Results: Deerfield Police conducted targeted traffic enforcement in high-crash zones in January resulting in 26 traffic stops and 12 citations. DPD reminds you to drive responsibly. #watchyourspeed #dontdrivedistracted

Holiday Enforcement Results: During the holiday safety campaign, DPD dedicated 18 extra hours to seat belt and DUI enforcement—resulting in 36 traffic stops and 22 citations. You can do your part by helping keep our roads safer. Buckle up, drive sober, &look out for one another.

Heads up, Deerfield! 🚓 DPD will be conducting extra traffic enforcement during Jan 6–31, 2026. We will be targeting high-crash areas and dangerous driving behaviors. We are asking the public to slow down, put the phone away, and drive sober.

From Dec. 12 through Jan. 5, our officers will take part in the statewide “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over,” “Drive High. Get a DUI.” and “Click It or Ticket” campaigns. These enforcement efforts are supported by @IDOT_Illinois to ensure all motorists safety. Drive safe!
