Currently in India, an engineering student has to first clear an entrance test. The entrance test carries questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Math. The students who are interested in Comp Sc or IT, why should they give entrance in Physics and Chemistry? A medical student is not asked Math in his entrance test. Then why Physics and Chemistry for a Comp Sc? Also, majority of engineering colleges teach Physics, Chemistry, Math in first year. Even Engineering Drawing. For what purpose? Other branch students are allowed to get the Comp Sc. job and hence they are learning some Comp Sc subjects apart from their own branch subjects. But a Comp Sc student is never allowed to get other Engineering jobs. Then why should he study same subjects as other Engineering students?

The global dominance of American technology was not built on rigid quotas it was built on merit, competition, and the relentless pursuit of excellence. They push capable individuals away, discourage effort, and ultimately weaken institutions. India stands at a crucial stage in its development. We cannot afford to compromise on merit in the name of social engineering. True upliftment should come through better education, equal access to resources, and economic empowerment not through perpetual reservation that divides society further. @aravind We could not achieve the AGI until and there would some base architectural shift. AGI can't be achieved through the current architecture of LLM. It doesn't matter how much you train them or provide some more infra, the LLM has it's own limitations just like the LSTM was having.

I predict Grok to near AGI in late 2028 based on current trends and compounding acceleration. Grok 5 should be 8-10X Grok 4 in capability and I estimate it released by end of this year in 2026. By the end of 2027, we must have truly AI assisted AI research and development. This means the improvement in AI models will be high degree exponential. Compute is also scaling exponentially. So Grok 6 in 2027 may achieve at top 0.1% of human ability in research and innovation. And Grok 7 in 2028 will be capable of running its own R&D, invent new science, and self improve. So by end of 2028, very high chance that Grok will be near AGI. Now will be it be released in public or kept under wraps due to Govt pressure? I cannot say.
