HERE’S WHAT REALLY HAPPENED @metpoliceuk are desperate to save face following their unjustified attack on peaceful protesters yesterday. 152 people were arrested outside Westminster Magistrates Court, most of whom had a court listing in their name for a “terrorism” charge.

This woman was arrested under s.45 Serious Organised Crime Act for saying only the following: “Hello everyone. They’ve said we can’t have a stage or amplified voices, but that’s ok because our voice is loud enough.” You do not have freedom of speech if you oppose genocide.

The Met Police arrested people for all sorts of ludicrous reasons, including putting down a tiny stand so that people sharing poetry and song could be heard. No amplification was used at all. One muslim woman was arrested for simply greeting the crowd. She said nothing unlawful.

AMAZING MOMENT A woman came back still wearing a custody tshirt having been released for a terrorism arrest. While being arrested for declaring support for Palestine Action a second time, another woman came back to do the same. The opposition to this ban cannot be contained.

UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham said Labour was "too late" to call for a Gaza ceasefire. In an interview with TLDR News, he also said he was considering "potential measures" on Israeli settlements, calling the situation in Gaza and the West Bank "unjustifiable".

Another ex-serviceman was arrested under the UK Terrorism Act outside Westminster Magistrates Court for saying “I support Palestine Action, and I urge you all to support Palestine Action.” He was among 152 arrested for a range of alleged crimes, facing up to 14yrs in prison.

More @metpoliceuk lies. People were arrested for: • Being elderly & sitting down • Clapping • Reading poetry • Speaking loudly • Announcing the news that the ban will be appealed in the High Court You don’t have to support Palestine Action to be a “terrorist” anymore.

The protest has now concluded with a total of 152 people arrested by officers. The vast majority of arrests - 134 - were for expressing support for a proscribed organisation, under Section 12 of the Terrorism Act 2000. This included two people arrested for attempting to put up a stage at the event. 4 arrests were made on suspicion of encouraging or assisting a crime, under Section 45 of the Serious Crime Act 2007. A number of officers were assaulted while making arrests, but thankfully none required hospital treatment. Two people were arrested for assaulting emergency workers.

I attended this protest to report on it. The idea that officers were "assaulted" is difficult to believe. The vast majority of protesters were in their 60s, 70s and 80s - including many with physical disabilities. By contrast, there were about 50 police officers, most of whom were massive blokes who were shoving people out of the way and showing no respect for elderly people.

Hi @andyburnham the daughter of a Holocaust survivor has been arrested because of a policy Keir Starmer and Yvette Cooper rolled out, which Labour Baron Hain said in the House of Lords, was shameful, and the UK's High Court initially said was 'unlawful' She says, "Free Palestine, end the genocide" "It's not what my parents died for" "I'm a Holocaust survivor's child.. I'm glad my parents didn't live to see this" Will you be correcting this, or make it part of your legacy too?
