My thoughts here because no one asked and I talk.... What qualifies for direct product relationship? It took TTM 3 years (someone can fact check me) to have access and prove a distribution channel for streamer network. That is the access spot for community breaking. I did 6 figures last year while working a full time job and only being able to go weekends in less than 8 months. - All with my own NFT allocation and building "business" relations with other holders. And you can drop other people who have been streaming a lot longer than me. There are no guidelines right now so for me welcoming "community streamers" to get product direct from VF right now is not it. They need to figure out an actual program and what the expectations are and have strict guidelines for how product can be sold. Right now its the wild wild west. Today someone was selling bulk comics on WN for lower than they were supposed to until they got called out. There are benefits of B2B connections that do not strictly do VF. That can't be argued against as they have their own communities that get tapped into the VF product when its run. Are there a lot of bad eggs when it comes to the hobby? 100%. Are there channels that see VF as a quick money grab and dip? 100% But it is on VF to sort through that because this is the only IP that deals with this sort of problem. Topps isnt handing out product to "community breakers" You need to invest 6 figures on product you won't want to get a sniff of the valuable items. I respect that you asked, Lorcana. I think the question should be asked. I just don't think the timing is right. And you can call that a cop out response and just blindly supporting VF. But it's my truth. I don't think you should stop what you are doing. Go out of your way to prove that you are growing something bigger. Make the brand take notice of what you are doing without their financial backing in form of wholesale product.

We want to start this by saying we love this brand and nothing about this post is deterring us from continuing to chase our goals in this community or stop us from building our business around this IP. We also want to say, we have nothing but love and respect for every Community Streamer in this space. We’re all on our own journeys and we celebrate every one of you ❤️ We had a phone call with a member of the @veefriends team, we were told we’re not the right fit for a direct product relationship because we’re a “Community Streamer”, meaning we focus 100% on Veefriends. We genuinely don’t understand how being fully committed and all in on this brand could be seen as a negative. But that was the reasoning. For context (not to brag, just facts): we have nearly $500k in Veefriends sales in the past 90 days, hundreds of hours streaming, a strong loyal following, have built lasting friendships, and we’ve delivered some of the biggest & most exciting breaks this IP has seen on Whatnot. When we relaunched our channel (90 Days ago), it was because we followed Gary and his passion for live shopping. We could’ve gone back to breaking big Disney products, but instead we went all in on Veefriends because this community feels like home and we love it here. This conversation makes me feel like we may have made the wrong choice by choosing Veefriends over Disney when we relaunched. Focusing exclusively on this IP is exactly why we’re being turned down for a direct relationship. We understand wanting massive mainstream channels to attract new collectors, that makes sense! It is a great marketing strategy. But opting not to work with a channel that’s proven its dedication, results, and passion for the brand feels off-character for what Veefriends has always stood for. Just asking you to make it make sense, @garyvee. We’re still huge believers in your mission and longterm we hope to continue to build LorcanaMama around this Community and IP.
