#BREAKING 14 Myanmar army soldiers have fled to Bangladesh amid clashes with the insurgent Arakan Army in Myanmar across the Naykkangchori, border in Bandarban. Their weapons and ammunition are deposited at Bangladesh Border Guard Force (BGB).


Bangladesh is set to acquire Pakistan-made Super Mushak trainer aircraft. Sources from the BAF chief’s visit to Pakistan indicate the purchase, while the PAF has confirmed that delivery will be completed within a short time strongly signaling that the deal is already finalized.


Another life lost during training. After completing a 3.2 km IPFT, Lance Corporal Israel Hossain collapsed in his barracks. He was rushed to CMH, taken to the ICU, and later declared dead. He was 41 years old at the time of his death.

Bangladesh has postponed plans for a separate Police Aviation Wing. The two Russian-made MI-17A2 helicopters bought for police use may instead be transferred to Border Guard Bangladesh BGB due to operational and maintenance concerns.
