something i think about often is why so many people in crypto remain anonymous. the obvious reasons are easy to understand. people criticize your appearance, send death threats, blame you when they lose money on a trade, attempt sim swaps, track your wallets, and sometimes resort to robbery or kidnapping. but is crypto uniquely hostile to public figures, or is this just what happens in every industry once enough money and attention are involved? for me, the main reason has always been simple: i do not want publicity. i would rather build something meaningful and achieve generational wealth without the entire world knowing who i am. still, it is sad that people with good intentions often feel like they cannot safely reveal themselves. the moment you become public, people begin searching for reasons to frame you as a bad person. to be fair, skepticism is not irrational. we have seen people enter this industry with good intentions, gain enormous influence, and eventually abuse that power. but that is not unique to crypto. it happens in every industry, institution, and position of power. look at sam altman. his own sister made serious public allegations against him and filed a lawsuit. millions of people now have opinions about his character despite having no direct knowledge of the situation. at the same time, he helped accelerate an ai movement that has already produced some of the most useful technology created in decades. public figures are rarely treated as complete human beings. they are reduced to heroes, villains, scammers, or saints. i am building a product that i genuinely believe can help this space. but i still wonder whether people will see the intention behind it, or assume the worst simply because it exists in crypto. does this industry eventually mature beyond the constant shaming and suspicion of anyone who becomes public? or will anonymity always be the only rational choice? and if we want more honest, accountable people to put their names behind what they build, what needs to change?
