Something I’ve noticed recently re the kerfuffle relating to the former president of Zambia and the debates surrounding the legal matters surrounding the repatriation of his corpse is that it divides groups along two main groups:
1) People for whom principle and due process is prime
2) People for whom emotional colour and feelings of appropriate action come down to what feelings drive a matter
These two groups are irreconcilable

Remembering His Excellency President Edgar Chagwa Lungu, fondly known as “ECL”.
Despite what I can now call some wastage in retrospect, thank you for directing our public resources toward modern infrastructure development that can only be equated with — and possibly even surpass — that of the UNIP era.
I would never have guessed in a million years that I would one day have to thank ECL, but here I am, doing so after his death.
Life is a teacher that often reveals the true value of things only after they are gone.
Life is full of ironies — we rarely value leaders fully until we must remember them in death.
