People are going to need to learn to separate the art from the artists cos I don't know what the morality of an author has to do with you enjoying a book. Especially if it's fiction. You will not enjoy art if you base it only on morality of the artist.

I just realized people get more excited when an uber rich or famous person is getting someone arrested for slander than a 'regular' person. Eg when that influencer husband wife arrested someone who had been slandering them it was insults everywhere that they went too far.

All of the entertainers you mentioned can sit courtside at a NBA game. Michael Jackson could not. @MagicJohnson told the story of how he invited MJ to a Lakers game and it created so much chaos, they had to stop the game. MJ had to leave because fans were leaving their seats to try to get to him.
None of the people you mentioned have that level of fame where they can’t attend public events.

The least corrupt people in public service are politicians. You see those directors, MD’s and secretaries of federal or state institutions, most of them are extremely corrupt and wicked. They are like deities. They have spent over 25 years there and understands the system so well. They teach corrupt politicians how to steal successfully.

My dad had a similar experience. He owned three FMCG stores in Yaba, Tejuosho to be precise. After the war he didn't even come back to Lagos immediately because he felt he might not be welcome. Instead he moved to PH then to Sapele and started doing imports of sewing machines (many Igbo people started itinerant sewing which led them to Okrika). He couldn't crack the business however so his friend who had moved to Cotonou asked him to come join him. On his way there he passed through Lagos and decided to stop by his former area (two full years after the war ended) and found out that his long term neighbor a Yoruba man had kept his 3 shops running, restocking it and keeping all the records. When he saw my dad he told him he'd been looking for a way to reach him since the war ended, even sending messages but post war craziness meant no way to find him. He totaled the money he'd managed plus the cost of buying the stores and everything added up to £9,000. That's what my dad took plus the £6,000 he made from selling off his old business and started doing shoe and textile imports in Lome from 1973 onwards. Many such cases.

The thing about prejudices is they are seldom specific. It's almost impossible to be racist against only Indians for eg. A person who hates Indians almost certainly hates Blacks. A person who hates fat men almost certainly hates fat women too but is just shy to say it.

People have so much faith in the US justice system thanks to Hollywood. I can almost guarantee they won't. Partly because they have hired expensive lawyers to make sure they haven't left a trail but also cos if they are charged they have expensive lawyers that will fight it.
