As a business analyst who has access to free data courtesy of Gov.uk , Glassdoor and ONS ASHE I decided to pull out the average working hours of jobs in Leeds, average cost of rent, Uk minimum wage and Uk income Tax numbers The weekly take home in Leeds is £384 which doesn’t cover for a full months rent and that’s what I stated earlier. I speak based on data from verifiable sources. You’re an outlier and that’s good for you.

The screenshot says 400-600. We can go on and on but one thing is true. Averagely 40hrs work pays for a month rent. And tbf I’m not saying Nigeria is in any way better than Uk. I was simply telling the person food is cheap but not rent and bills. If it was terrible I wouldn’t be here.

@jalaal_tweets Nah, it doesn't fully justify. A £400 apartment is actually quite common than you think so it's not a rare occurrence. If your initial statement was "barely covers a month's rent". I would have agreed because it varies. Is it possible? YES. Is it the reality for everyone? NO
