Meet Rose Delilah Gesicho, chair of our Community Committee! 🔥 Based in Nairobi, Kenya, Delilah's journey in AI is driven by a passion for leveraging data for social impact and building strong communities across Africa. She's been an active force in community building and engagement since joining the Indaba as a participant in 2019 and officially joining as an organiser in 2024. Delilah plays a vital role in strengthening AI communities, fostering knowledge exchange, and ensuring community engagement within the Indaba network. She works as a Data Scientist and Community Manager at @ZindiAfrica , where she leads and supports a network of over 200 AI ambassadors across 30+ African countries. Previously, she was a Technical Trainer at @moringaschool, training over 200 students in data science concepts. Beyond her professional work, she actively contributes to global AI initiatives, including the W4EAI Network by @UNESCO , where she helps develop frameworks for ethical AI use.
