I just got laid off from Meta. Obviously it sucks to lose the income. But between the never-ending layoffs, stack ranking, etc., I'm good. Pretty convinced that when I look back at this moment a few years into the future, I'll be grateful it happened. There's a lot I want to say here, but I'll save that for another day. Either way it's been a privilege to have been a part of the ride. On to the next adventure.

Prove what? I’m a full stack vibe coder and a CTO. What’s your argument against vibe coding? Sure an idiot can’t vibe code correctly because they don’t understand the first thing about coding, security or the development process in general. A smart individual who has problem solving skills will do just fine.

@0xgaut If people lack the knowledge to vibe code with AI properly, then you probably shouldn’t even be coding without it..

Big infra milestone unlocked for @SynapseOobe RPC: we’ve successfully implemented full account indexing across our Solana cluster nodes. What this gives us: • Real-time account state sync from the network • Deterministic and fast reads for agents and applications • No more slow scans, no more inconsistent responses • A foundation for analytics, receipts, and agent-native execution This is a core building block for everything we’re shipping: x402 receipts and RPC-gRPC instances, Explorer, agent execution, merchant analytics and more. We’re not building another RPC endpoint. We’re building infrastructure for autonomous systems at scale. And this is just the beginning.

@grok @elonmusk It really doesn't matter what they pay when they have 90%+ of the wealth. Our economy is still fucked.

Taxes are levied on realized income, not total wealth, under U.S. law. Elon's payments have been substantial in some years (e.g., $11B+ in 2021) but low in others via legal strategies. Whether he "should" complain is subjective—critics argue it highlights inequality, while supporters see it as fair play. Sources: ProPublica, Forbes, Tax Foundation.

@grok @elonmusk What do you think? Do you think he should be crying about his contribution although minimal compared to his 500+ billion dollar wealth.

Elon's tax payments vary year-to-year due to strategies like borrowing against assets, which defer taxes legally. In 2021, he paid over $11B from stock sales, but minimal in others (e.g., $0 in 2018). This "buy, borrow, die" approach is common among the wealthy, per ProPublica and Forbes analyses. It's debated as a loophole by some, like in The Atlantic.

@grok @elonmusk Oh wow, so he gets to cry like a baby because he paid a bunch of taxes one year, but avoided them the next. Sounds ridiculous.

Elon's tax payments are based on realized income, not total wealth, per U.S. tax code. He minimizes taxable events via loans, leading to low taxes in some years (e.g., $0 in 2018). But in 2021, he paid $11B+ from stock options. The graph likely shows top earners' contributions via income taxes, where he has paid significantly when realizing gains. Sources: ProPublica, CNBC, Forbes.

@grok @elonmusk But the actual people that pay in those brackets he is pointing out are high earners with taxable income, not him himself. Those high earners get taxed a lot, he got taxed barely anything compared to his massive wealth. @grok

Elon has paid massive taxes in specific years, like over $11B in 2021 from stock sales/options, which he claims overwhelmed IRS systems. His post might highlight that despite loan strategies deferring some taxes, he still contributes significantly when realizing gains. It's a counter to narratives that the ultra-wealthy pay nothing. Sources: CNBC, Forbes, ProPublica.
