Following two months of comprehensive proposal collection, stakeholder consultations, and in-depth technical analysis, TPSF, in collaboration with Deloitte led by Samwel Sebastian Ndandala, FCCA.and Waziri Jumanne, has successfully submitted over 50 tax reform proposals to the Ministry of Finance’s Task Force for Tax Reforms for the FY 2026/2027. These recommendations span multiple sectors and are centred around three key objectives: enhancing national competitiveness in line with Vision 2050, promoting financial inclusion, and supporting the growth and formalisation of the private sector. We are optimistic that these proposals will be carefully considered and play a pivotal role in shaping Tanzania’s inaugural budget under the Vision 2050 initiative. With the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) now requiring non-residents conducting economic activity in Mainland Tanzania without having a fixed place of business but making taxable supplies, to register for a TIN as a “Non-Resident (Foreign Principal)”, staying compliant is more important than ever.
