While Hanukkah is a time of light and resilience, we mourn with profound sadness the tragic events at Bondi Beach in Australia. Our heartfelt condolences go to the victims, their families, and Jewish communities around the world.

Today we recognize the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. We honour the 14 women killed at l’École Polytechnique in 1989 & stand with all those affected by gender-based violence. Delta Council remains committed to a safer, more equitable community.

On Indigenous Veterans Day, Delta Council honours the bravery and sacrifice of First Nations, including Veterans from Tsawwassen First Nation and Musqueam Indian Band, who served in war and peace to defend the freedoms we cherish today. #IndigenousVeteransDay

November marks Hindu Heritage Month—a time to reflect on the vibrant traditions, values, and contributions of Hindu Canadians. From philosophy and art to community and service, Hindu heritage enriches our cities and country.

Today, we recognize Musqueam Day, marking the 1984 Guerin Decision—a landmark ruling affirming Indigenous title and rights. We honour Musqueam Indian Band’s resilience and leadership in the pursuit of justice and self-determination. #MusqueamDay
