welp, looks like I actually AM gonna go for the 2nd ever FC of Hourglass Paroxysm Part 2, the #1 Hardest guitar chart in all of Rock Band. Day 1 and already made some BANGER progress, FC'd Solo 3 with transition into 3A, and FC'd up to solo 3 in a run already :D:D:D

@jfosheezy Oh it totally does, and I think that's the reason calibration numbers are so high. I was talking to Matt about this a while back, and he told me that there's totally some wizard shit going on because he played in the same room as his partner once and they were synced flawlessly

@Liffeh Pro Guitar and Pro Bass are basically worse Rocksmith (Rocksmith 1 came out the following year) Pro Keys is a MIDI Keys mode, and Pro Drums is only different from regular drums in that it adds cymbals

@Liffeh Basically, in Rock Band 3, they added 4 new instrument tracks: Pro Guitar, Pro Bass, Pro Drums, and Pro Keys (only one of these matches their festival name) and they all use MIDI versions of the real instruments to play.

@KnownAsSys To be fair, nowadays D1 meta's super stale. For most of the game, the meta's "bubble titan, Found Verdict, Cluster Rocket". Like, as a class in D1, Hunters are borderline useless in PvE

Holistically, Destiny 1 is the better game. Booting up an alt account, running the story, getting some friends to do some raids. Running some strikes and pms. D1 is better.
Destiny 2 is the better game as an active player. Pvp is better, even though that's a damn low bar to reach, and low-stakes pve has far more variety. D2's raids are also just simply better, even if the dps meta is just about the stalest, most boring shit I've ever seen.

@Liffeh That being said, modern custom drum charts are designed to match how it's played as close as is possible, and in the modern day, the best "controllers" to use to play said charts are actual MIDI Drum Kits as Chad is using in this clip

@Liffeh It's similar but not quite. If you add elements from the GH series (accents, ghost, and 2x bass) to this (the Rock Band format) as CH and YARG did, you get something that's really close, however you're still missing the hi hat pedal and any extra toms/cymbals the actual song has

@Rawr_Mom @TheCounterWolf The way Pro Drums is handled in .mid charts iirc is the notes for the Yellow, Blue, and Green lanes are cymbals by default, and then you add forcing notes to make them toms if you so choose. Classic 4-Lane just ignores the forcing, but it's the same chart

1 difficulty has the regular 4 + extra accurate charts

Obviously I'm a bit biased but I think it's incredible that every jam track in Fortnite comes with THIS MANY charts + 4 difficulties. I'm so proud of our work and the work of everyone at Epic to make this happen, past and present.

@kbynight0 @TheCounterWolf I'm 99% sure the mouth moments are all triggered by the MIDI notes in the Mic Vocals track. That's how it was done in the Rock Band games iirc

@DeltaOm3ga @TheCounterWolf they do a bit of that, if you play vocals (mic or pad) the character's mouth actually moves like its singing the song (and its usually very well synced)

@TheCounterWolf Not to mention, the way these charts are formatted (extremely similar to how old Rock Band charts were from what I've seen), I'd assume any camera control, venue effects, and so on are all triggered in the MIDI itself

@TheCounterWolf I say technically because lower difficulties on the pro and mic formats are not nearly as hard as the initial expert chart because you already have a baseline

@lunalawl Oh believe me, I feel ya. I used to restart my game every time I wanted to play Festival so I could have both my controller and my guitar connected as a single player (I say "used to" because I've uninstalled the game atp)
