In therapy, we had a breakthrough after 4 years where I realized that my intense generalized anxiety disorder stems from a fear of death. I am not afraid of dying or the finality of death but of the lack of control that I have over the circumstances of my own death or that of others around me. My therapist said we all have a fear of death and it manifests in different ways all around us. - Having kids can often be the manifestation of the fear of death and so many will have kids out of fear of their own mortality. - Anti-aging rhetoric in the beauty industry is 100% the fear of death and lack of control over our bodies, morbidity, and mortality. - The entire wellness industry grift is also linked to this. My therapist is such a learned man and he heard me coming to this conclusion on my own and gave me a gift in recommending this book and embracing the inevitability of death as the key to RELEASING the control I THINK I need in order to live a better, happier, less anxious life. James Baldwin said "You think your pain and your heartbreak are unprecedented in the history of the world, but then you read. It was books that taught me that the things that tormented me most were the very things that connected me with all the people who were alive, who had ever been alive." Thank God for books.

Iran is forcing all countries who want to pass the Strait of Hormuz and get oil and goods through to pay a toll. But the toll MUST be paid in Chinese money. Not American dollars. That is SIGNIFICANT as it undermines the petrodollar. That means that we are on the way to the dollar no longer being the world currency.
