My personal phantom 2025 draft rankings, have about 10-15 extra names that I had in the mix, and a few extras that warrant rookie consideration. We’ll look back and wonder why we underrated the top end. Really solid depth too with functional AFL traits that will translate.

@fromthe_topdeck Preseason I reckon Mullin did the best diving header since the 2014 World Cup to make sure he touched it before it went out of bounds…reckon it makes sense if the only intent is to touch it before going out of bounds.

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times, Jobe Shanahan should never have slid that far in the draft. Pick 14 felt right and a perfect fit for Tigers, otherwise picks 11, 13 and then absolutely 22 were the spots. The Eagles have excellent youth coming through.

Essendon feels like the worst team in it at the moment, have been a big believer that the wooden spooner would win 4-5 games this season and reckon it’ll come to fruition. Even the Bombers have a couple of clear moves that’ll speed them up and protect weaker skilled players.

You're going to assume wrong... But thanks for playing. You folks accuse us of bias - you have the biggest blinkers on in the game. Jeremy McGovern was good. Very good even. One of the best key defenders of his time. But nowhere near the conversation of "best defender ever" or "all time great" no matter how many times you shout it across the desert. Not even close. And the reality is Cal Wilkie over the last few years has been better than McGovern in his prime. -No real help - McG had plenty -Undersized - McG was huge -Takes the best forward (whos bigger) - McG was often 3rd man up/interceptor (wilkie avgs more marks per game as a 1v1 defender than McG did as an interceptor) -Elite user of the ball - nobody wanted the ball in McG's hands Wilkie doesn't get the recognition because hes not 195cm+ and he doesnt play for a big club.
